Visitor Information Centre
The Parramatta Visitor Information Centre’s friendly staff provide a unique starting point for discovering Parramatta - the city that tells the story of Australia. The City of Parramatta’s Hosts & Guides are based here offering a wealth of information to help you to plan your visit in and around Parramatta. Knowledgeable Hosts & Guides are also regularly stationed around the Parramatta CBD to answer any questions you may have with a meet and greet service also operating daily at the ferry wharf.
The Visitor Information Centre also runs school holiday programs and education activities and sits alongside a local research and family history library, Council’s archives and cultural collections.

Research & Collection Services
Research & Collection Services manages, preserves and documents the history of our local government and the people, places, art, events, and natural and built environments which have contributed to the rich history of Parramatta’s communities.

The Heritage Gallery Room is available for hire to businesses and community organisations. It’s suitable for small boardroom style meetings of 10- 12 people or up to 20 for short theatre style meetings and presentations. For details phone (02) 8839 3311.
