12pm - MC comedian Sean Choolburra and DJ Naian

Sean Choolburra is one of the most versatile Aboriginal performers in Australia today. A proud Girramay, Kalkadoon, Pitta Pitta and Gugu Yalanji man who maintains and practices his cultural traditions and infuses his culture into his performances to make his shows unique and memorable. Sean is a dancer who found his feet in stand-up comedy and has had a long 25+ year career in the entertainment industry. He was recently labelled the “Godfather” of Aboriginal Comedy. 

Sean is known for his wit, energetic delivery, improvisations and non-stop dance moves. His recent work includes hosting his own TV series, Express Yourself on NITV, a special guest on ABC’s Playschool and keep an eye out for him in the upcoming ABC series Black Comedy. Sean’s comedy is created from a wide variety of lifetime experiences, stories, and observations. Choosing not to use profanity building his craft around those early comic pioneers. Sean creates his unique brand of comedy which sets him apart and is suitable for audiences of all ages. 

Sean amazing career has taken him on a global journey and has seen him perform for the likes of the Dalai Lama, and Prince Charles. Proud of his continuous work in urban, remote and regional communities, his versatility not only ranges with his performances but also his audiences.There have been numerous career highlights along the way but as humble as he is, his most cherished moments are doing what he loves… “sharing his culture and making people laugh”.


Hailing from Northern NSW, DJ NAIAN moved to Sydney for dance and has been broadcasting on Koori Radio for the past 20 years.

12:10pm - Maddi Lyn 

Maddi Lyn is an Aboriginal singer/songwriter hailing from Campbelltown, NSW who is a passionate country music performer. Selected as a promising up and coming artist in 2015, she participated in the Young Black and Deadly program, which saw the release of her debut single Promise. The track enjoyed radio play nationally and internationally. It was through this program Maddi had the opportunity to work with Leah Flannagan, Uncle Vic Sims, and Luke Peacock.  Maddi lyn is a graduate of the Academy of Country Music in Tamworth and has since gone on to open for Casey Donovan, perform at the Bleach Festivals as part of the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, and the EKKA show in Brisbane. 2018 saw Maddi Lyn release her E.P Scars and Memories. 

12.30pm - Evie J Willie (soul singer/songwriter)

Evie J is a proud Indigenous Soul Singer/Songwriter who has been composing songs since the age of 15. Born in Toowoomba QLD, this inspiring Soul Singer was raised on an Aboriginal Reserve of Wellington in Western NSW. Since moving to Sydney in 2009, Evie J has used her own music to express and establish herself as a strong contemporary Indigenous Female Artist.

Drawing on her Aboriginal & NiVanuatu roots, Evie J is inspired and encouraged from real life experiences, truth, identity and culture through her songwriting. Her warm nature, powerful resonance and undeniable promising talent truly encapsulate her unique style of music ranging from Roots, Reggae, Blues and Acoustic Soul. Her passion and motivation to empower and uplift young girls & women across all backgrounds has always been her drive.

1.30pm - Bow and Arrow (electro-soul duo)

Get ready for Blue Mountains-based electro soul duo Bow and Arrow, aka husband and wife team Mindy Jane (Bow) and Mitchell Kwanten (Arrow).  

Gathering a following through appearances on NITV, Blues Fest and a nation-wide tour with The Sapphires, their debut EP 'Return To Me' is a flurry of creative expression made in one week from composition to release. They have also recorded a banging remix of UNKLE's 'Money and Run' featuring Nick Cave.  Don't miss their brand of energetic, entertaining and fun performance.
